I sacrificed my first born for Wifi in 2002 (Over 5 milenia ago) and I won't let my world go to black now. I understand not what magic allows me to access these "consoles," but I for one will not anger the gods who have bestowed this gift upon me. That means I am going to throw my money at it blindly and praise it as a god. Boxes that allow me to go beep boop bop and then enjoy media and games. I think we are all missing the point here. I don't understand people like you who seem to have this ax to grind against people who prefer to do their hobby differently than you. I know it's shocking to the people that can't seem to fathom that power doesn't always = fun, but their are quite a few games PC's dont have that I enjoy even though their not as pretty as new shiny PC games. ![]() ![]() I have two custom built PC's (that I built) and I've also bought consoles in the last year or two. so if its not about a lack of money, they shouldnt mind ponying up for a 2000$ console no? Thats what gaming PCs cost. I might add, one thing these people supposedly rush to defend themselves with is that its not just a money issue, its not about being too poor to buy a computer and needing a couple hundred dollar console to fill the gaming gap. These boxes are purely for that crowd, I wouldnt doubt the goal isnt even for them to be totally successful but to make console gamers understand what they are missing and then force them into buying a real computer for a better value next time. There is a lot of butthurt among this crowd when they are told by the PC master race how ignorant it is to buy a console when you can get a more powerful PC for less money with free multiplayer online and full computer ability etc. and their girlfriends like consoles, not computers. because reasons like loading steam and starting a game apparently take too long. were talking lazy technologically inept people who actually buy consoles in 2015. For the moment, users can only buy one of the existing three variants, and there is information that more will land by the end of the month.引用自 We Love You Assad!:OP the thing is here, the only reason Steam is doing this is to break into the console market, we arent talking people who like to put things together. But they were genuinely interested in working to address them in future SteamOS builds. "We met with Valve about our reservations concerning the limitations of SteamOS with high-end PC builds, and they agreed they were not issues that could be overcome in time for us to launch a Steam Machine this year. This might not be the last company to drop the Steam Machinesįollowing reports that the SteamOS is not capable of delivering the same kind of quality and performance as the Windows counterpart, Falcon Northwest decided to postpone any plans for having a Steam Machine out onto the market, at least not until things change.Īccording to a report on, the Kelt Reeves, the president of Falcon Northwest, had this to say about the Steam Machines. The launch of three Steam Machines, from different vendors, along with the Steam Link and the Steam Controller. Some people were hoping that it's actually a ploy from Bethesda and Valve to announce at the last minute that Fallout 4 is also coming to Linux, but it turns out that it was just really bad planning. It was also programmed on the same day as the Fallout 4 release, and it's easy to see why that overshadowed everything. ![]() ![]() In fact, it wasn't much of an event, and Valve only bothered to add a link and a special website on Steam, along with a week-long sale. The November 10 launch of the Steam Machines didn't go as people expected it to. Falcon Northwest is one of the companies that wanted to release Steam Machines, but it looks like that's not happening anymore.
